Description

Spotted Eagle Ray Stingrays was drawn over a 6 month period as Donna drew each stingray individually out of the layering of tiny little dots with a fine-liner pen.

Each ray took 45mins - 1 hour to draw and the persistence to push through and finish this drawing is truly remarkable.  Upon completion of this drawing Donna has added her own hand painted Watercolour background, the colour truly is beautiful.

Excitingly this design is now available as a puzzle!! Limited Stock will be available.

Completed Puzzle Size: 58.4×73.6cm.

Shrink Wrapped Box Size: 35x22x4cm.

Process

Each one of Donna’s illustrations are created free hand, singularly made from the layering of dots - hundreds upon thousands of tiny dots and countless hours. Donna credits her unique talent for the technique known as ‘stippling’ or ‘pointillism' to achieving such intricate drawings using just a fine liner. Donna’s pieces take on discipline, focus and a life of their own. Some designs have hand painted watercolour added for a pop of colour.

Limited Editions

Limited edition prints are just that - a one of a kind, stand-alone piece of artwork and we create only 200 printed in each size.

Spotted eagle ray jigsaw

This item was for a gift and had not been put together yet but I can tell you that they are loving doing it. It was for an engagement gift and they are loving the challenge of doing it together and not killing each other. A test of love

I absolutely love this puzzle. It’s been very challenging. But I’m enjoying it.

It WAS amazing.

It was a pleasure!! I worked my ass off in lockdown and started drawing again as an escape the pressure. Long story short, found your Insta, watched these babies be birthed from your pen, and finally; when I was looking for a jigsaw puzzle to further distract me from the beigeness of lockdown, you released this.
Amazing! Bought it, waited, and finally decided work was too much and took a week of annual leave - to just be at home.
Nek minute. Your puzzle arrives.
It’s amazing - I said to my bf, the box is QUALITY! It won’t collapse after a few uses. The pieces? Are sturdy, and the print doesn’t separate from the cardboard.

Nek nek minute.
Second day of my week leave, my cat comes home - late - one night with a bad cat bite in his foot. Limping. And whinging. Vet visit next day for antibiotics cost me $250.
Vet says he’s on house arrest to rest for 48 hrs. He HATES not going out.
Long long story short, about 36 hrs into his lockdown he decided to pee in the jigsaw puzzle box that I’d had about a 2hr crack at.
Didn’t even finish the border. But I stupidly left it open at a time he was supremely pissed off about not going out, and used it as a litter.

I give it 10/10 from a manufacturing perspective.
10/10 from an artwork perspective.
Alfie gives a 10/10 from a litter perspective, but if you ask me the difficulty rating, I couldn’t tell you :(

It’s in the bin :(

So so funny, i hope you enjoy the new one i just sent you haha. Keep it away form the cat this time. x
